At the indicated time, we'll meet near the entrance of one of Verona's architectural wonders: the Arena. This Roman amphitheatre, which has been perfectly preserved since it was built in the 1st century BC, is declared a World Heritage Site.
With a guided tour of the Verona Arena, we'll go back in time to the gladiators, discovering this great monument's history and how it survived an earthquake in 1117.
You'll also find out how important the Verona Arena is in the world of entertainment, as it is now one of the largest open-air theatres in the world. It plays host to the famous Verona Festival, as the stage's spectacular acoustics makes it perfect for opera performances.
