Tuxtlas and Catemaco Trip
Tuxtlas and Catemaco Trip
At 8 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Veracruz before heading south towards Santiago Tuxtla. Did you know that this town is famous for housing the largest Olmec head in the south of the country? You'll be amazed by the size of this giant stone sculpture!
After strolling through Santiago Tuxtla's Benito Juarez Park, we'll head to Eyipantla Falls, an impressive waterfall with a drop of more than 160 feet (50 meters). We'll take a leisurely stroll through the lush jungle vegetation and admire the natural beauty of this waterfall.
Our journey continues, traveling to the beautiful town of Catemaco. Once we arrive, we'll board a boat and enjoy a wonderful trip on the Laguna Encantada (Enchanted Lagoon). We'll explore the waters and visit idyllic islets, such as Monkey Island and Heron Island, where you'll meet the friendly inhabitants.
When the boat ride is over, you'll have around one and a half hours of free time to discover the best restaurants in the area and taste the local cuisine.
Once you've finished lunch, we'll return to Veracruz, where we'll drop you off back at your hotel at 8:30 pm.
