We will meet at 12 pm at the Plaza Acuario in Veracruz before taking transport to San Juan de Ulua. When we arrive at this small island, located next to the port of Veracruz, we will begin our fantastic guided tour to discover the secrets of this magnificent 500-year-old fortress.
During the years it served as a prison, San Juan de Ulúa became one of the most notorious places in the country. We will find out what the conditions were like for the prisoners and visit their cells to experience their reality.
You will also hear all about Chucho el Roto and the Mulatto of Córdoba - two legendary inmates of the prison - and the fascinating story behind them.
We will also visit the Tower of San Pedro, where you will enjoy impressive views of the coast and the port. This is the perfect moment to take a beautiful souvenir photograph.
After the guided tour, we will take transport back to Plaza Acuario, arriving in just 30 minutes.
