Discover two extraordinary Pueblos Mágicos in the province of Veracruz on this excursion to Orizaba & Coscomatepec. Dreamlike landscapes await!
Orizaba & Coscomatepec Excursion
On the morning of the tour, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Veracruz. From there, we'll set off to visit two of the famous Pueblos Mágicos (Magical Towns) of the region.
Our first stop will be in Orizaba, where you'll visit the 19th-century Palacio de Hierro, the seat of the municipal government, and take the local cable car to Cerro del Borrego natural park. At the top, we'll be treated to exceptional views of this protected area full of misty forests, all from an altitude of 1240 meters above sea level!
Then, we'll travel to Coscomatepec, located in the region known as Las Altas Montañas ('High Mountains'). There we'll see the Church of San Juan Bautista, which houses a world-famous carving of the Christ of the Agony. You'll also get to see Constitution Park and the colonial-style Municipal Palace.
We'll even go to a typical bakery to learn why the bread and sweets of this area of Mexico are so famous. Not to mention, from some parts of town, we'll be able to see the imposing Citlaltépetl volcano, so don't forget to bring your camera! After the visit, you'll have two hours of free time to grab some lunch.
At the end of this magical day trip, we'll return to Veracruz, arriving at your hotel between 7 and 7:20 pm.
