Discover the natural beauty of the Gulf of Mexico in the most fun way: kayaking or stand up paddle boarding to the Isla de Sacrificios from Boca del Río and snorkelling around its coast.
Kayak & Snorkel Tour of Isla de Sacrificios
Immerse yourself in the beautiful natural landscapes of the Gulf of Mexico enjoying fun water sports on this tour from Boca del Río. At the time indicated, we'll meet at boulevard Adolfo Ruíz Cortines in Veracruz and, by minibus or bus we'll make our way to La Bamba Beach, where we'll give you a basic training session on how to handle the kayaks.
After the lesson is over, we'll put what we've learnt into practice and kayak to the nearby Isla de Sacrificios. You'll paddle at your own pace, supervised at all times by our professional guides, and it'll take no more than 40 minutes to reach the shore of this paradise island.
Having reached the coast, we'll leave our kayaks to the side and get kitted out with our fins, goggles and breathing tubes ready to snorkel in the crystal-clear waters around the "Island of Sacrifices". We'll be able to see some of the extraordinary marine plants and wildlife that inhabit this area of the Veracruz Reef Park.
After spending around 45 minutes snorkelling, we'll return to the island and get into our kayaks again to paddle back to La Bamba Beach. From there, you'll be taken back to the meeting point 3 hours from the start of the activity.
Stand up paddle & snorkel
If you'd like, instead of kayaking from La Bamba Beach to Isla de Sacrificios, you can do the same route on stand up paddle boards (SUP) instead. This popular water sport involves paddling while standing up on a board similar to those used for surfing.
Once you reach the island, you'll snorkel in its crystalline waters before returning to La Bamba on your SUP boards again.
