The best way to get to know a culture is through its history and gastronomy. You'll do exactly this on our Boca del Rió Day Trip from Veracruz, as we'll take a delicious journey through history.
Boca del Río Day Trip
At 10 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Veracruz. Just 15 minutes later, we'll be in the centre of the coastal Boca del Río, where we'll start our historic and gastronomic tour.
First of all, we'll head to the Municipal Moneda Museum. Here we'll admire hundreds of artefacts that are over 500 years old and learn about Boca del Río's past. As well as learning about the different money used over the course of centuries, we'll also hear some fun facts about graphic styles from all over the world.
Once we're finished at the exhibition, we'll visit the Santa Ana Parish Church, an 18th-century building that guards the secret of a miraculous legend. As we walk inside the church, we'll discuss its history and relationship with fishermen.
Afterwards, we'll enjoy a unique culinary experience in which we'll have the chance to try 3 traditional dishes from Veracruz and 2 drinks. We're sure you'll love the stuffed crabs, tamales and huachinango (red snapper). You're also bound to enjoy the Veracruzano drinks, which will be popo (a cacao-based drink) and atole (a corn-based beverage).
With our bellies full of delicious food and drinks, we'll return to your hotel in Veracruz at 3 pm.
