Discover some of the most iconic temples in Venice on this guided tour of St. Mark's Basilica, the Church of St. Zacharias and the Basilica of St. John and St. Paul. History, religion and architecture in one day!

Visit the Most Beautiful Churches in Venice

At the indicated time we'll gather at the Church of St. Zacharias to begin our tour of three of Venice's most iconic temples. Let's go!

We'll visit the Church of St. Zacharias, a 15th-century gem nestled in the heart of the city of canals. Its façade, adorned with Gothic and Renaissance elements, will take us on a journey rich in history and beauty.

Inside, we’ll admire one of the most renowned works by the painter Giovanni Bellini, The Virgin and Child with Saints, displayed on the main altar. A highlight of our visit will be the partially submerged crypt, where the remains of ancient Venetian doges are laid to rest.

A few steps from San Zaccaria, we'll continue our tour at the impressive Basilica of St. John and St. Paul, commonly known as San Zanipolo. Did you know it's one of the largest churches in Venice? Built in the 13th century, its façade contrasts beautifully with the opulent interior. Inside, we’ll admire the tombs of 25 doges, a testament to its historical significance as the pantheon of the rulers of the ancient Republic of Venice.

The highlight of our visit will be St. Mark's Basilica, the symbol of the city. Its Byzantine-style architecture reflects the connections between Venice and the Eastern world. Inside, we'll be dazzled by the impressive golden mosaics as we learn about the historical and cultural significance of this temple.

Then, after 2 hours and 15 minutes, we'll bring this enriching experience to an end at this final basilica.
