The tour will start at Venice-Santa Lucia station at 7:25 am. At that time, your high-speed train will depart for the capital of Tuscany.
After a 2-hour ride, you'll arrive at the Florence-Santa Maria Novella station. From the train terminal, you'll have time to explore the city where the Renaissance was born on your own.
Once you leave the station, you can start your tour of Florence by boarding the city's tourist bus. The tickets are included! You'll see the most important points of interest in a comfortable and convenient way.
After the panoramic tour, you can visit the cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Its facade is full of sculptures and architectural elements carved with multiple details. You can also learn about the history of Brunelleschi's famous dome and Giotto's campanile.
Nearby you'll find Signoria Square, where the imposing Palazzo Vecchio is located. Then, you can continue your walk along the Ponte Vecchio, one of the popular monuments of the city. From here, the views of the Arno river are beautiful!
In the afternoon, you'll return on your own to Santa Maria Novella station to take the train back to Venice.
Important
The train departure time from Venice will be between 7:25 and 9:25 am, while the departure time from Florence will be between 4:30 and 5:30 pm. Please note that these times are approximate. Within 24 hours of booking, we'll send you an e-mail with the train and tourist bus tickets and departure times.
You'll have to board the train on your own, since no guide will accompany you at any moment. We advise you to arrive at Santa Lucia station 15 minutes in advance. Once you arrive at Santa Maria Novella station, you can start your tourist bus route at the City Sightseeing Florence bus stop located next to the station. Check out the schedule of the buses here.
To return to Venice, we recommend arriving at the Florence station half an hour before the train departs.
