Matanzas & Bellamar Caves Tour
At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Varadero and set off for the city of Matanzas.
First, we'll immerse ourselves in its history with a panoramic tour of this coastal city. We'll explore Plaza de la Libertad, the neoclassical and baroque Cathedral of San Carlos Borromeo and Plaza de la Vigia, where we'll talk about the corsair attacks of the past.
We'll then go to the viewpoint of the Hermitage of Montserrate, which offers unbeatable panoramic views over the valley of Yumurí and the city of Matanzas. It is said that Federico García Lorca himself fell in love with this place during his trip to Cuba.
Next, we'll visit the Bellamar Caves, which are more than 300,000 years old, to admire their stalactites and stalagmites. We'll explore their different features and halls such as the Manto de Colón, the Paso de la Lluvia, and the Huerto de las Zanahorias. The unique formations of these caves will leave you speechless!
At the end of the tour, we'll take you back to your hotel in Varadero after a total of 4 and a half hours.
