Matanzas & Bellamar Caves Day Trip
Would you like to explore one of the best natural areas in Cuba? On this day trip, we'll head to the 300,000-year-old Bellamar Caves. We'll head inside the caves to admire their stalactites and stalagmites while discussing how this incredible site was formed.
Our next stop will be Matanzas, which is also known as the "City of Bridges". We'll explain the reason behind this nickname as we stroll through its historic centre and see iconic monuments such as the Monserrate Hermitage, the Sauto Theatre and the Cathedral of San Carlos Borromeo.
In addition, we'll admire the Castle of San Severino from the outside. This fortress had an important role in the defence of the city and was once a military prison and customs building.
Havana & Tobacco Factory Day Trip
Cuba's capital awaits! We'll set off on a 2.5-hour trip to Havana and stop at the viewpoint of Bacunayagua or El Pescador when we're halfway there. Here, we'll see the mountains and the lush jungles in northern Cuba, as well as the Straits of Florida.
We'll then visit a tobacco factory and learn all about the laborious artisanal process that goes into making the famous Havana cigars. In addition, we'll visit a shop where we'll find out lots of fun facts about rum, another well-known Cuban product.
Our next activity will be a sightseeing tour so you can discover modern Havana. We'll see the Presidential Palace, Revolution Square, the University and the Capitol Building before exploring Old Havana. While we're in the oldest part of the city, we'll see the Cathedral, the Plaza de Armas and many other iconic spots.
Playa Larga & Playa Girón Day Trip
On this day trip, we'll spend 2.5 hours travelling to the Bay of Pigs to spend an unforgettable day at Playa Larga and Playa Girón.
Before we get to our destination, we'll stop at Boca de Guamá, one of the most important wetlands in Cuba. You'll be able to visit a crocodile farm on your own or take a boat ride on the Tesoro Lagoon.
Afterwards, you'll have the rest of the day free to sunbathe and take a dip at the beaches at the Bay of Pigs. Calm and clean waters, white sand, palm trees and coral reefs await!
Cienfuegos & Trinidad Day Trip
If you go for this option, we'll pick you up at 6:30 am and make the 3-hour journey to Cienfuegos. Known as the Pearl of southern Cuba, this city is famous for the French appearance of its buildings, as it was founded in 1819 by French settlers.
As we stroll along Cienfuegos' avenues we'll learn all about its history while admiring its most beautiful buildings, such as the 17th-century Valle Palace. Due to the history and legacy of this place, the whole area has been declared a World Heritage Site.
The day trip will then take us to another UNESCO city, Trinidad. We'll stroll around the Plaza Mayor, see the Convent of San Francisco de Asís, visit the arts and crafts market and even try a typical cocktail. What more could you ask for?
