On this excursion to Cienfuegos, El Nicho, and Trinidad from Varadero, we'll discover the history and nature of Cuba, visiting one of the most beautiful areas of the Caribbean island.
Cienfuegos, El Nicho & Trinidad Tour
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Varadero and set off on an unforgettable tour of some of Cuba's most emblematic places of interest. On the way, we'll make a short stop so you can get some breakfast if you feel like it.
We'll then make our way up the Escambray mountain range and arrive at El Nicho, a protected area located in the Topes de Collantes Natural Park. Here we'll see the spectacular waterfall of the River Habanilla, crystal clear pools, and parrots perched in palm trees. You can take the opportunity to jump into any of the natural pools along the way to cool off!
In this beautiful place, we'll enjoy a lunch consisting of meat, vegetables, rice and dessert. With renewed energy, we'll then head to Trinidad, a city declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll walk through its streets and admire the main square, the Romance Museum, the Convent of San Francisco de Asis, and the Church of the Holy Trinity, whose vibrant colours are sure to catch your attention! Afterward, you'll have some free time to explore more of the city on your own.
We'll then head to Cienfuegos, where we'll take a panoramic tour of Punta Gorda and see the Hotel Jagua and the imposing Palacio del Valle, decorated with Arab and Gothic details. Afterward, we'll get off at José Martí Park to see the famous triumphal arch and the buildings that stand around it.
Before heading back to Varadero, we'll enjoy a delicious dinner of tomato broth, picadillo, and dessert. Finally, we'll return to Varadero, where we'll arrive about 17 hours after pickup.
