On this day trip to Carbonera, Boca de Camarioca and Santa Marta, we'll travel between villages, mangroves, cenotes, a monkey refuge and a fruit farm.
Tour Description
After picking you up at the indicated time at your hotel in Varadero, we'll travel to the first destination of the day: the protected area of Laguna de Maya.
As soon as we arrive at Laguna de Maya, we'll board a boat for a 1-hour ride into the mangroves of the area. When we disembark, we'll start a hiking route that will take us to the village of Carbonera. In this small coastal town, there will be horses waiting to take us on a 15-minute ride while we admire the sea.
Then, we'll arrive at the cenote of Saturn Cave, a spring of crystalline waters. There, you'll be able to enjoy this environment of intense blue colours while swimming and relaxing for an hour. Next stop? Boca de Camarioca, where you'll enjoy an authentic lunch in a local restaurant. We'll also teach you how to make a Cuban mojito.
Feeling refuelled, we'll make our way to Santa Marta, where we'll take a guided tour. We'll walk through the historic centre and explore the lively village market, the perfect place to get a taste of rural Cuban life.
Afterwards, we'll hop on a traditional horse-drawn carriage and travel to the Los Monos farm to interact with the cute little monkeys that live in this refuge. We'll also learn all about the large seasonal fruit plantations, with tasting included!
Finally, we'll return to Varadero and say goodbye at your hotel after 9 hours of excursion.
