Get outside, breathe in the fresh pacific air, and immerse yourself in the natural wonders surrounding Vancouver. On this day trip, we'll visit Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, the Capilano Salmon Hatchery, and Grouse Mountain.
Grouse Mountain Day Trip
After picking you up at your hotel, we'll set off northbound toward the mountains located just outside the city. We'll cross the legendary Lions Gate Bridge and admire the views during the scenic drive.
Our first stop will be at the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Here, you'll be able to cross the longest footbridge in the world. While walking across, you'll stand above an old-growth cedar forest and the Capilano River. During our visit to this park, we'll admire the breathtaking natural surroundings, view First Nations artwork, and feel the rush of adrenaline at the Cliffwalk attraction.
Then, we'll head over to the river bank, where we'll visit a salmon hatchery. We'll learn about the different species of salmon that live in this region of Canada and we'll discover the hardship they go through in order to reproduce. We'll get to see hatching and young fish before they are released into a nearby river.
Spectacular Grouse Mountain will be our next stop, where we'll take the cable car up to the peak. You'll be blown away by the ever-changing views as the Skyride carries us upwards. Once we arrive at the top, you'll get to explore the Wildlife Refuge, see some awesome chainsaw carvings, and learn about the local wildlife at the Theatre in the Sky.
After having thoroughly enjoyed the forest landscapes in the outskirts of Vancouver, we'll head back to your hotel, where we'll arrive after a total of 6.5 hours.
