Canadian Rockies Tour Package: 8 Days
Day 1: Vancouver - Kelowna
We'll depart from Vancouver and head east to Fraser Valley. Our first stop will be a short walk through a west coast rainforest to the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls, which takes its name from the veil effect that forms with the falling water. Next, we'll cross the Coastal Mountains and stop for lunch admiring the views of Lightning Lake in Manning Park.
Following on, we'll go to the Okanagan semi-arid grasslands to paddleboard on Skaha Lake in Penticton. We'll replenish our strength by heading to Kekuli Café in Westbank to sample indigenous cuisine.
The day will end arriving in Kelowna on Lake Okanagan, where we'll have dinner together and stay the night.
Day 2: Kelowna - Banff
After breakfast, the day will begin at 8 am heading west to Banff. On this day you'll have the chance to admire the impressive Canadian landscape as we cross three mountain ranges and four national parks. Our first stop will be Revelstoke, where you'll have the opportunity to try out lake kayaking. Then, we'll continue to the Rocky Mountains, crossing the Kicking Horse Pass, as we arrive into Alberta and Banff National Park.
The day will end in the charming town of Banff, where we'll stay the night.
Note: April/May & Mid-September onwards we'll cross the Vermillion Pass to head to Alberta and Baff National Park.
Day 3: Banff - Rampart Creek
The day will begin at 8 am heading to the beautiful Moraine Lake and the world-famous Lake Louise. After visiting these stunning natural landmarks, we'll make our way to the Icefields Parkway. Here we'll see the jagged mountain peaks, glaciers, rivers and lakes. Keep an eye out for the local wildlife! Following on, we'll stop at Crowfoot Glacier, Bow Lake and Mistaya Canyon.
The day will end in Rampart Creek, where we'll stay the night in a rustic, wilderness hostel. You can spend the evening taking a refreshing dip in the creek, relaxing in the wood-burning sauna and enjoying a campfire.
Day 4: Rampart Creek - Jasper
We'll begin the day at 9 am by making our way to the Jasper National Park. Our first stop will be Big Bend lookout for views of the North Saskatchewan River Valley.
Next, we'll head to the Columbia Icefield and hike to the picturesque Athabasca Glacier, before heading to Maligne Canyon. Here we'll go on a scenic hike across several bridges with spectacular views of the canyon.
The day will end in the town of Jasper, where you'll have the afternoon and evening free to explore.
Day 5: Jasper - Banff
Our first stop: will be Athabasca Falls, one of the most powerful and picturesque in the Rockies, followed by mountain goat spotting at the Goats and Glaciers viewpoint. Then we'll head to Waterfowl Lakes to soak in the backdrop of Mount Chephren, which was named after the 4th Dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh.
The day will end in Banff with a group dinner, after which you can enjoy the town's nightlife or relax in the Banff Upper Hot Springs.
Day 6: Banff
After having breakfast, this day will be free for you to explore the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. You can go on a hike, or enjoy the optional activities including whitewater rafting, canoeing and mountain biking.
Day 7: Banff - Kelowna
We'll have breakfast, before leaving the Rockies at 8:15 am and making stops at Takakkaw Falls (seasonal), Emerald Lake and the Natural Bridge. Next, we'll arrive in Okanagan Valley. Here there will be a photo opportunity as we admire the scenery from the Kalamalka Lake viewpoint, known for its sandy beaches and crystal clear lakes.
We'll stay the night in Kelowna, where you can spend the evening enjoying the university nightlife or relaxing at the lake.
Note: April/May & Mid-September onwards we'll visit Kootenay National Park instead of Takakkaw Falls, Emerald Lake and the Natural Bridge.
Day 8: Kelowna - Vancouver
After breakfast, the tour will begin at 8 am and travel along the Nicola Valley and enter the Fraser Canyon. Then we'll head to Tuckkwiowhum Village to enjoy a tour with a traditional knowledge keeper.
Then we'll head to the town of Hope. We'll visit the Othello Tunnels, and explore its bridges and old train tunnels.
The tour will end arriving back in Vancouver.

The tour includes 7 nights accommodation at the following hostels:

- Day 3: HI Rampart Creek
- Day 4: HI Jasper
- Day 5 & 6: Samesun Banff

On the first day of the tour pick up will be at the following hostel locations at the following times in Vancouver:

If you're staying anywhere else, you'll need to make your own way to one of the locations mentioned. On the last day, we'll drop you off at one of the locations listed. Under normal circumstances, expect to be dropped off in Vancouver before 5 pm.
We strongly recommend that you don't book onward travel on the final day of the tour, since traffic or other unexpected circumstances may cause delays.
