Valencia Tour + Tickets
Our guided tour of Valencia will start, at the scheduled time, in front of the emblematic Serranos Towers, in Plaza de los Fueros. Here, we'll begin to learn about the history of the city in the 15th century, a flourishing period for the Mediterranean city both in terms of culture (transition from Gothic to Renaissance art) and the economy, as it was in this period when trade took the development of the city to new heights.
After learning about the importance of the Serranos Towers, an old gate in the fortified walls of Valencia, we'll continue our walk to the Church of San Nicolás, whose fresco paintings have earned this temple its popular nickname, the Valencian Sistine Chapel. We'll continue our route by visiting the Lonja de la Seda, the old Silk Exchange. Inside this historic gem, declared a World Heritage Site, we'll learn all about the city's commercial importance during Valencia's Golden Age. From the Lonja, we'll make our way to theBasilica of La Virgen de los Desamparados, which houses the statue of the Patron Saint of Valencia. Afterwards, we'll take a guided tour of the Valenica Cathedral, where we'll admire the numerous art works that line the inside.
We'll bring this tour to an end on the inside of the cathedral after 3 hours together.
