Free Night Tour: Valencia Mysteries & Legends
Free Night Tour: Valencia Mysteries & Legends
At the scheduled time, we'll meet next to the Lonja de la Seda. There we'll begin a free tour that'll take us on a journey to the dark side of Valencia, setting the scene with sounds and spectral projections.
As we cross the central Plaza del Mercado, you'll be surprised to discover the bloody scenes that occurred in this area, which used to house the gallows of the city. Here you'll learn about the legend of Morro de Baques, an infamous character who served as an executioner, known for his brutal punishments of the condemned.
Traveling back to the 15th century, we'll uncover the stories of lust and prostitution of the Poblat de Bernat de la Villa, considered the largest brothel in the Mediterranean at the time.
We'll also stroll through the center of Valencia as we learn about how the Cathedral, the tower of Miguelete and the Church of San Juan del Hospital are related to the most heinous crimes and epidemics that plagued the city.
To end the tour, we'll discover the tragic events that unleashed the notorious assault on the Jewish quarter of Valencia. After two hours of learning about the city's darkest legends, the tour will come to an end.
