Discover the breathtaking Vinciguerra Glacier and the magnificent landscapes that surround it on this hiking excursion from Ushuaia.
Vinciguerra Glacier Hike

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Ushuaia at the indicated time and set off on a half an hour journey to the Andorra Valley, where our hike to the Vinciguerra Glacier will begin.

We'll spend 6 hours trekking across the magnificent wetlands. Eventually, we'll reach the famous High Valley of the La Leche river, which is located in the surroundings of the Vinciguerra Glacier. Then we'll walk along the riverbed until we reach the Laguna de los Témpanos, a beautiful lagoon formed by the melting glacier that will take your breath away!

Here we'll recharge our batteries with a picnic lunch of alfajores, homemade ham and cheese empanadas, fruit and cereal bars. And all this accompanied by a hot tea! After lunch, we'll continue bordering the lagoon until we reach the incredible glacier.

Finally, we'll hike back to the Andorra Valley and return by minibus to your hotel in Ushuaia, arriving eight hours after departure.

Foi uma das melhores experiências da nossa viagem, paisagens inesquecíveis. Fomos no outono, mas pegamos as primeiras nevascas, então, passamos por diversos climas e vegetações ao longo da caminhada: bosque, lama, floresta, montanha, chuva e neve. No caminho, encontramos diversos animais e plantas diferentes, sempre com explicações e curiosidades por parte do guia Leo, que foi muito simpático. A trilha demanda bastante fisicamente, mas é plenamente possível de ser feita por pessoas ativas.

Adoramos a guia Micaela, ela nos deu diversas dicas sobre como caminhar e momentos em que era recomendado tirar ou colocar o agasalho e pudemos ver que é uma profissional muito experiente. Nos apoiou durante todo o trajeto, a trilha é de dificuldade moderada-alta. A paisagem é linda e pudemos andar sobre as geleiras com grampones. As subidas são bem difíceis. Adoramos o lanche que era composto por dois sanduíches de frango com verduras e legumes, 1 alfajor e nuts com bebida quente, chá ou café.

It was my first time trekking and I was really fascinated by the different landscapes you see as you climb the mountain. It was worth the effort and mud. Fuimos en noviembre y la ruta fue genial, nos proporcionan crampones y bastón aparte de una lunch box. El grupo fue pequeño y la ruta es de nivel dificil teniendo en cuenta las subidas empinadas en un terreno de barro resbaladizo (acabas embarrado hasta las rodillas) y nieve en lo alto del glaciar. Tuvimos varias paradas para recuperar aire y el guía fue explicando cosas durante la ruta. El glaciar por dentro espectacular. Translate this opinion into English.

We went in November and the route was great, they provided us with crampons and a cane as well as a lunch box. The group was small and the route is of a difficult level considering the steep climbs on slippery mud terrain (you end up knee-deep in mud) and snow at the top of the glacier.
