Baliza Escarpados & Estancia Túnel Walking Tour
Description
If you want to get the very best views of the Beagle Channel, this trekking route is for you! At the indicated time we'll pick you up from your hotel in Ushuaia and head east until we reach Baliza Escarpados.
Upon arrival, we'll start a hiking route that'll take us along the coast of the Beagle Channel. To do so, we'll walk from Baliza Escarpados, which is part of the Playa Larga Cultural and Natural Reserve, an area where we'll discover the wonderful landscapes of the Fuegian forests, full of bushes and plants, as well as an infinity of birds.
During the tour, we'll also see archaeological sites of the natives who inhabited the area more than 6000 years ago - this route is full of history! You'll see it for yourself when you reach the Estancia Túnel, a site that was formerly used as a barrel factory, sawmill and cattle ranch.
In this iconic location of Tierra del Fuego, we'll stop to recharge our batteries with a lunch consisting of a sandwich, a cereal bar and an alfajor. All this will be accompanied by a herbal tea, perfect for warming up!
With our bellies full, we'll continue along the trail, admiring the Beagle Channel all along the way. The trail will take us back to Baliza Escarpados, where the bus back to Ushuaia will be waiting for us.
We'll drop you off at your hotel after 5 hours of hiking.
