Spider Crab Road Tour + Lunch
Description
At the scheduled time we'll pick you up from your hotel in Ushuaia and begin the most complete tour of the Tierra del Fuego (Land of Fire). Are you ready? Let's tour the Spider Crab Road!
We'll travel in a 4x4 vehicle towards the Victoria Lagoon, the first stop. Once we've arrived, we'll enjoy some charming views at this natural spot in the middle of a completely untouched forest. To make the visit even more special, we'll have a delicious lunch on the banks of the lagoon. If you're doing the tour in winter, breakfast will be had in a nearby shelter.
Once we've eaten, we'll head towards Puerto Almanza, a small fishing village located on the coast of the Beagle Channel. We'll discover the secrets of this remote location on the Tierra del Fuego, such as the history of the sawmill that was in operation in the area during the 40s and 50s.
We'll also take a stroll out amongst the nature of Puerto Almanza, admiring the Beagle Channel Bay full of fishing boats that go out fishing every day.
Hungry? We'll stop off at a restaurant to indulge in one of the most prized treasures in the area, the spider crab. When making your booking, you'll be able to choose between a lunch consisting of either half a spider crab or a full one, accompanied by both a drink and a dessert.
Once we've eaten, we'll continue the 4x4 tour travelling to one of the most beautiful waterfalls on the Tierra del Fuego, the Duende Waterfall (Fairy Waterfall). To get there, we must hike through the forests that surround the Beagle Channel, where we'll also see the famous flag tree. Photo moment!
Finally, we'll return to the hotels in Ushuaia where the tour will come to an end after around 8 hours.
