Hiking Turquoise Lagoon and Mount Carbajal
Description
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Ushuaia and head north. After only 30 minutes on the road, we'll arrive at the start of our hiking route. Here, we'll set off on an incredible hiking route around Tierra del Fuego.
During the walk, we'll cover a total of 10 km (6.2 miles) climbing 800 metres (2,640 feet). We'll take several breaks to calmly enjoy the captivating surrounding landscapes. The first stop on our route, which will be after about 1 hour, will be the famous Turquoise Lagoon.
Do you know why this lagoon has this characteristic colour? We'll find out why as you take photos and admire the tranquillity of the natural area. You'll love it!
After enjoying the lagoon, we'll continue hiking to the top of Mount Carbajal. At this peak, at 950 metres (3,110 feet) above sea level, we'll pause for a picnic-style lunch in the perfect mountainous landscape.
Finally, we'll take our route back to the vehicle that will take us back to Ushuaia. We expect to arrive back at your hotel after about 6.5 hours.
