Sima de las Cotorras & Motorized Hang-Gliding in Valle Bonito
After picking you up at your hotel at 8 am, we'll leave Tuxtla Gutierrez in search of the amazing landscapes of western Chiapas. Viva Mexico!
First of all, we'll visit the Sima de las Cotorras, a geological depression in the El Ocote Biosphere Reserve, which has a depth of 140 metres (460 feet) and a diameter of 160 metres (525 feet) - impressive! Do you know why it's called the 'sinkhole of parrots'? We'll find out the origins behind this interesting name...
As if that wasn't enough, inside the chasm there are a large number of cave paintings. Among them are handprints painted in red and black, as well as unique vegetation.
We'll continue our tour to Valle Bonito, where we'll take part in a completely unique experience. We'll head to the hill from where we'll start our motorised hang gliding flight. The instructors will provide you with the necessary equipment and explain what the ride will be like.
The most awaited moment has arrived! We'll take off into the air and fly over the natural wonders of this area of Chiapas for 10 minutes. Without a doubt, the views will be incredible.
After the flight, we'll return to Tuxtla Gutierrez, where you'll have free time for lunch on your own. We'll finish the activity back at your hotel at 4 pm.
