Turin Chocolate Tour
Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Caffè Elena, in the emblematic Piazza Vittorio Veneto, where we'll start our chocolate tour of Turin. We'll begin with a brief introduction into the history of chocolate and Turin's pivotal role in shaping its cultural impact, ultimately making chocolate a key element of Italian identity.
Our journey begins with a stop at a historic café, where we'll taste an original Bicerin, the iconic Turin drink that combines coffee, hot chocolate, and cream. Did you know that this recipe dates back to the 19th century? Today, it's still a must in every coffee shop of the Piedmontese capital!
Next, we'll stroll through the elegant streets and squares of downtown Turin until we stop at one of the city's best chocolate shops, where we'll see how local artisans work fine cocoa to create chocolates of exceptional quality.
Here, we'll also sip a selection of traditional chocolates, including gianduiotto, the classic chocolate and hazelnut bonbon, and cremino, a smooth, layered chocolate that melts in your mouth.
For lovers of dark chocolate, we'll complete the experience with a tasting of the best cocoa in the world, which represents only 10% of the world's production. In addition, all the products we'll taste are 100% organic, guaranteeing exceptional quality and sustainability. While we enjoy every bite, we'll tell you curiosities, recipes and fascinating stories about the chocolate of Turin.
Then, 1.5 hours later, we'll end the chocolate tour with a more than happy stomach.
