Private Day Trip from Tulum
Our Private Day Trips
During the booking process, you can choose between the following private day trips, which last between 4 and 12 hours. Every option includes pickup at your hotel, transport by private vehicle, and an English-speaking guide. All you have to do is choose your preferred private day trip!
Temazcal Experience (4 Hours)
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Tulum to begin our immersion in Mayan culture. Are you ready? Let's go!
Our first stop will be at a traditional Mayan house, where we'll discover how its inhabitants live. You'll learn about their cuisine, tools, way of life, and how they prepare tortillas following an ancient recipe. You'll get to try freshly made tortillas!
Afterward, we'll meet in a circle of seashells to participate in a ritual to connect with nature. First, we'll ask Mother Nature for permission to enter the temazcal. Then, a shaman will welcome us with a sacred drink called balché, prepared with honey, tree bark, and medicinal herbs. We'll then pass through the circle of fire, where the shaman will perform a purification using the smoke of aromatic plants. We're now ready to step into the temazcal!
For 40 minutes, you'll enjoy a ritual sauna session where singing and prayers will be offered with the goal of cleansing both body and soul. You'll come out feeling renewed!
After finishing in the temazcal, we'll take a dip in a cenote with crystalline waters to refresh and close the purification cycle. After, we'll enjoy a snack of fruit, tea, and water before beginning our journey back to your hotel.

Day Trip to Kantemo (9.5 Hours)
After picking you up at your hotel, we'll head to Kantemo, a hidden corner in the Yucatán Peninsula famous for its fascinating natural beauty. We'll reach our destination after almost 3 hours, where we'll hop on bicycles to ride on a jungle trail that will lead us to the Cave of the Hanging Snakes. This cave is home to a unique spectacle: snakes that hunt bats in midair. Are you brave enough to witness this incredible natural phenomenon?
After about 4 hours of exploring the cave, we'll start our journey back to Tulum and say our goodbyes at your hotel.
Schedule: this tour takes place Monday to Sunday at 2:45 pm
Day Trip to Río Lagartos & Ek Balam (12 Hours)
Once we've picked you up from your accommodation, we'll set off to the reserve of Río Lagartos, where we'll arrive in about 3.5 hours. Here, you'll enjoy an exciting 2-hour boat ride to admire the largest flamingo colony in North America and a wide variety of birds and wild fauna.
Then, we'll stop at a restaurant to enjoy a delicious traditional lunch. Afterward, we'll continue our day trip by exploring the archeological site of Ek Balam, an ancient city filled with history and mystery. During this 2-hour guided tour, you'll discover the secrets of this stunning site and admire its temples and sculptures.
On the way back to Tulum, we'll stop at a cenote so you can take a dip in its refreshing waters. Finally, we'll drop you off at your hotel.

Day Trip to a Mayan Village(12 Hours)
If you want to discover Mayan culture and its traditions up close, this day trip is ideal. We'll pick you up at your hotel, and after a 3.5-hour journey, we'll reach the Casa de las Mujeres, a local Mayan village.
We'll start our day by learning how to prepare the famous chicken pibil, a traditional dish cooked underground with hot rocks. You'll also explore the village and take part in agricultural activities in the village's vegetable garden.
Next, we'll try the chicken pibil served with freshly made tortillas. After lunch, we'll head to a nearby cenote, where you can swim and snorkel in its crystal-clear waters as you enjoy this magical environment.
