Want to visit unique places in the Yucatan Peninsula? On this excursion, we'll visit the Kaan Luum Lagoon and, as an added bonus, you'll be able to swim in the Mariposa and Chen-Ha Maya cenotes.

Description

After picking you up at your hotel between 7 and 9 am, we'll head towards the Kaan Luum Lagoon, one of the most spectacular natural areas of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Once we arrive at the lagoon, we'll go on a walk to take in the beauty of the turquoise waters and the mangroves along its shore. What is the reason behind the stunning color of this Yucatan lake? Is it true that it was a sacred place in pre-Columbian times? We'll answer these and other questions during the tour.

Next, we'll continue our route through the Yucatan Peninsula by making our way to two other incredible lagoons. First, we'll head to the Mariposa cenote, where you'll have about 40 minutes of free time to take a refreshing dip.

Your swim is sure to work up an appetite, so we'll head to a local restaurant for a delicious lunch. The menu includes the typical Mexican dish of your choice, from an extensive menu of traditional recipes.

After lunch, we'll set off for the Chen-Ha cenote to explore its amazing scenery. Here we'll see a large group of stalactites and stalagmites and learn about the origin of these geological formations. Finally, we'll attend a Maya ceremony that will help us to purify mind and body.

We'll conclude the excursion by returning to your hotel, arriving between 4 and 5 pm.

The tour includes hotel pickup at the main hotels in Tulum, Akumal, Cancun, Costa Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, and Puerto Morelos. If you're staying in private homes, hostels, apartments, or other types of accommodations, we'll indicate an alternative meeting point after booking.
