Day Trip to Las Coloradas & Río Lagartos
Tour Highlights
At the scheduled time, we'll meet up at the Super Akí in Tulum, where we'll set off on our journey to Las Coloradas. Are you ready to witness a sea of pink?
As we embark on our trip to Las Coloradas, a light breakfast will be served, setting the stage for our adventure. Upon arrival, we'll provide insights into the salt collection process, all against the backdrop of spectacular scenery that will leave you constantly reaching for your camera.
This area offers a chance to spot tons of flamingos. Interestingly, the waters of Las Coloradas house a microorganism called artemia salina, tinting the waters in stunning shades of pink. The remarkable aspect is that it also influences the color of these wading birds!
Subsequently, we'll embark on a boat journey to the Rio Lagartos nature reserve. Here, you'll witness the diverse flora and fauna inhabiting this fascinating location, including crocodiles, flamingos, and mangroves—dense vegetation formations created underwater.
A refreshing swim awaits you at a pristine beach, followed by a visit to a crocodile farm, where we'll learn all about these amazing aniamals. After this special interlude, we'll head to a local restaurant for lunch featuring local cuisine.
Having replenished our energy, we'll return to the starting point, bringing our excursion to a close.
