The activity with Alejandro was very interesting. He gave us all kinds of explanations and suggestions. The only problem was that the UNT museum could not be visited because it was under repair.

Trujillo Guided Tour

We'll meet at the indicated time at 467 Jiron Orbegoso Street, we'll begin a complete guided tour of Trujillo. First of all, we'll see the Plaza de Armas, an area full of history. It's also the Peruvian town's oldest and most representative public space.

We'll discover the history of its foundation while admiring the monument to Liberty and the four sculptures that accompany it, representing art, science, commerce and health, pillars that are the foundation of Trujillo. From the Plaza de Armas we'll go to the colourful Cathedral of Trujillo, a building that dates back to the 17th century since an earthquake destroyed the previous one.

We'll continue our visit to the church of La Merced, in the historic centre of the town. Then we'll visit the Emancipation House where we'll learn about how Trujillo achieved independence seven months before the capital, Lima

Lastly, we'll visit the Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History of the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, where we'll see a collection of pieces to learn about the city's past.

Finally, we'll return to the starting point about 1 hour and 30 minutes after meeting.
