Chiclayo Tour
Description
At the indicated time we'll meet at the Emtrafesa bus station in Trujillo. Once we're all together, we'll hop on a public bus and head to the north of Peru, Huaca Rajada and Chiclayo are waiting for us!
The tour starts in Chiclayo, a city where we'll see authentic vestiges of the Moche culture. We'll explore the centre of Chiclayo, where we'll stroll around the Plaza de Armas or the Paseo de las Musas, the charm of this colonial city will captivate you!
We'll go to the Royal Tombs of Sipan, a museum that preserves more than 200 pieces of gold from the Moche and Chimu cultures. Then we'll visit the Huaca Rajada, the most famous archaeological site of the Moche culture. Did you know that inside it's the tomb of the Lord of Sipan? This is one of the most important findings in the area.
Very close to the Tombs, we'll find The Brüning Museum, the first regional museum in Peru. We'll visit this exhibition to learn about the main cultures of the northern coast of the country.
On the way back to Trujillo, we'll stop in the village of Lambayeque for lunch on your own and after lunch, we'll return to the departure point in Trujillo after 17 hours.
Closure of the Royal Tombs
Please keep in mind that the Museum of the Royal Tombs of Sipan close on Mondays. The museum opens from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm.
