Day Trip to Kvaløya Island & Fjord
Day Trip Highlights
We'll meet at Magic Ice Bar in Tromsø at the designated time. Boarding a comfortable minibus, we'll set out for Norway's fifth-largest island to begin our journey to the Kvaløya Fjord.
Nestled between Tromsø and the Norwegian Sea, Kvaløya captivates all who visit with its towering peaks, picturesque fishing villages, and unique arctic wildlife. Our first stop will be the majestic Kvaløya Fjord, renowned for its stunning beauty.
After capturing some incredible photos, we'll continue exploring the island. As we travel along the Norwegian coast, enjoy the vibrant fishermen's huts and spot local wildlife like reindeer, while learning about the rich Sami culture. We'll also have the chance to observe various migratory birds that make a temporary home on the island.
Our journey will then take us to the Sommarøy archipelago, known as the "summer islands," where we'll take a leisurely walk to explore its numerous islands and beaches.
To refuel, we'll enjoy a delicious lunch amidst these serene settings. Once refreshed, we'll head back to Tromsø, concluding our six-hour adventure filled with nature, culture, and stunning views.
