Immerse yourself in the natural beauty and traditional culture of the Norwegian Arctic fjords on this cruise from Tromsø. Taste local delicacies as you discover the culture of the North and its film-like landscapes. You'll love it!
Description
At the designated time, we'll see you at the Clarion The Edge Hotel in Tromsø, the third-largest city in the Arctic Circle.
After boarding the boat, we'll set off from Tromsø's harbour and sail south towards the Ramfjord. This estuary has a unique 90-degree corner, which you'll be able to photograph from the boat.
We'll then leave the scenery of Ramfjord behind us and continue to an old fishing settlement on Kvaløya Island. As we cruise through the Arctic Circle, we'll see incredible views of Ristraumen, a popular local fishing spot. We'll step off the boat here and learn about the history of Northern Norway's fishing industry, which holds great economic importance in this Scandinavian country.
You'll also see the traditional and famous Norwegian clotheslines, which are used for drying fish in the open air. During our visit, you'll try some of the traditional products produced here. If you like, you can also have a hot drink at the bar on the boat.
Lastly, we'll return to the meeting point. If we have good weather conditions, we'll deploy an underwater drone so you can observe the vibrant seabed of the Norwegian Arctic fjords in real time.
Our cruise will end back at the starting point close to the harbor between 4 and 5 hours after the start.
