Topes de Collantes Tour
Topes de Collantes Tour
At 9 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Trinidad and depart towards our destination: the Topes de Collantes Natural Park.
We'll start the tour off with a bang, stopping at El Mirador, a panoramic point 1,640 feet (500 meters) above sea level where you can admire a stunning view of the Valle de los Ingenios, Trinidad, and the Caribbean Sea.
After hearing about some of the history of this place, we'll continue the tour another 5 miles (8 km) through Topes de Collantes, one of the most extensive protected reserves of Cuba.
The tour will then make a stop in the community of Topes de Collantes and learn about the daily lives of the locals. We'll also visit a coffee plantation where three varieties are grown: arabica, robusta, and Liberian.
Next, we'll head towards Vegas Grande, where we'll start a moderate hiking route to get to know the plants and animals of the region. At the end of the hike, a beautiful waterfall awaits us where you can take a refreshing swim.
Then, we'll walk back to the beginning of the trail, where the vehicle will be waiting to take us to enjoy a delicious lunch filled with typical Cuban dishes in a local restaurant.
Following lunch, we'll return to Trinidad and drop you off at your hotel around 3 pm.
