PADI Open Water Diving Course
PADI Open Water Diving Course
Before doing the aquatic practice in order to become a certified diver, you will have to complete the theory part that will teach you the underwater techniques.
When making the booking, you can choose if you want to do the theory online from the comfort of your home or, if you have more time, do it in person at the dive center.
Day 1: Confined water practice
On the first day of the course, we will pick you up at your hotel in Trincomalee at 8:30 am and take you to the dive center.
Once there, we will briefly review the theoretical content of the course and then we will move to a confined water area to do the first practical training. We will learn techniques such as putting on and taking off the equipment underwater, orientation, buoyancy, among others.
Days 2 and 3: Immersion in open water
On the second and third day, it will be time to test everything you have learned.
During these two days, we will make a total of four open water dives where you put your new diving skills to practice. After having successfully completed all the exercises, you will obtain the PADI Open Water Diver certificate.
Duration
The average duration of the course is three days. However, if you have more time in Trincomalee, and you want to attend the theory classes in person, or you need some extra days to complete the exercises, the course can be completed in a maximum of five days.
