Piran & Slovenian Coast Tour
We'll pick you up at your chosen point in Trieste at the indicated time and head to the first stop of our tour, the city of Piran.
After about 40 minutes of travel, we'll arrive at our destination to discover the beauties of this Slovenian town which is very reminiscent of... Venice! Piran, in fact, experienced the Venetian domination for about 500 years, inevitably acquiring its charm.
To discover the link between these 2 cities, we'll start our itinerary from Piazza Giuseppe Tartini, a place dedicated to the famous violinist born in Piran. In this central square, you'll find some of the most important buildings of the city, such as the house where Tartini was born, the Venetian palace, the Tartini Theatre and the majestic Town Hall.
As we walk through the narrow streets of the centre, we'll reach the famous Church of St. George, in Baroque style, and the walls of Piran, to enjoy a breathtaking view. Ready to take the best pictures of the trip?
We'll continue westwards to discover 3 of the most fascinating places on the Slovenian coast, starting with the tourist town of Portorož, where we'll explore the salt plains and refresh ourselves with a tasting of wine and typical Istrian products.
Following on, we'll go to Izola and Koper, where our guide will take us on a tour of these 2 seaside resorts. Did you know that Koper is the largest city on the Slovenian coast? Along the way, we'll observe extraordinary landscapes, enhanced by the sea and the Alps in the distance.
After having properly explored the Istrian coast, we'll return to the starting point around 5 hours later.
