Ljubljana & Bled Day Trip
Ready to explore Slovenia? At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your selected pickup point and board a bus that will take us out of Italy. After a road trip of about 1.5 hours, we'll arrive in Ljubljana, the picturesque capital of Slovenia.
Known for its rich history and its contrast between ancient and modern architecture, the city of Ljubljana and its picturesque historic center, designed by Jože Plečnik, will steal your heart. This Slovenian architect transformed a provincial town into the bustling modern capital of Slovenia.
We'll take a 2-hour guided tour of Ljubljana which will take us to all of its cultural must-sees, including the Town Hall, the Cathedral, and the Congress and Prešeren squares. We'll see the Triple Bridge, the Cobblers Bridge, and the Dragon Bridge, where we'll take the opportunity to learn about some fascinating Slovenian mythology. We'll also stroll along the banks of the Ljubljanica River, one of the most beautiful areas of the city.
By now you'll have built up an appetite! We'll leave you an hour of free time so that you can explore a bit on your own and grab some lunch. Afterwards, we'll hop back on the bus and head to Bled, an alpine town a 40-minute drive away with absolutely breathtaking lakeshore views.
Once there, we'll spend 2 hours strolling along Lake Bled and appreciating sights such as the Church of the Assumption of Mary and the Bled Castle. Afterwards, we'll stop at a pastry shop where, if you wish, you can try a kremšnita, a traditional Slovenian dessert made with vanilla and cream.
Finally, we'll begin the bus journey back to Trieste. You'll be dropped off at the starting point between 7 and 8 hours after pickup.
