Istria Food Tour
Istria Food Tour
At 9 am we'll meet at your chosen point in Trieste to begin our tour. During this time we'll visit 3 of the most attractive locations in Istria, famous for their wine and culinary traditions.
Our first stop will be Hum, a place famous for its Biska, but not only that... Did you know that with only 20 inhabitants, Hum is considered the smallest village in the world? We'll drive through this charming town to taste local products and contemplate the beautiful mountainous landscape of the area before heading to Motovun, the next stop on our tour.
Once we arrive in the most famous medieval town in Istria, we'll observe the city walls and discover its historical buildings, including the Church of St. Stephen built in the 17th century. Afterwards, we'll taste one of its most important local products... Guess what it is? The truffle, of course! This delicious underground mushroom is the base of many delicious Istrian products. You'll love it!
Later on, we'll leave Motovun and head to Grožnjan, a place situated on a magical white land where excellent wine and olive oil are produced. As well as offering a wide variety of restaurants where you can enjoy the local cuisine, the village has been described as a town of art and music due to the presence in the area of artists attracted by its beautiful landscapes.
The tour will end by taking you back to the starting point in Trieste.
