Can you imagine what it's like to sail through the Caribbean jungle in Costa Rica? To make this dream come true, we'll meet at the designated time at the Miss Miriam restaurant and head to one of the piers of the main canal of the Tortuguero National Park to set sail through its calm waters. Let's go!
After putting on our lifejackets and getting our kayaks and paddles, it'll be time to sail into the heart of this lush jungle. We'll start rowing as we move inland along the canal in one of the country's best-preserved national parks. Did you know Tortuguero National Park is renowned internationally for being one of the few places in the world working to protect the nestling of 4 species of turtles?
As we sail along the rivers and the canals that wind through the vegetation, we'll tell you about the efforts being made to preserve this beautiful natural enclave and the more than 1500 species that inhabit it. During the journey, listen closely to the sounds of nature—these are signs of wildlife that may be spotted!
After sailing for 2 hours on our kayaks, we'll return to our meeting point and say goodbye until our next adventure.
