Mont Caro Hiking Tour
Tour Details
If you're in Tortosa and looking to spend a day in the mountains, this tour is perfect for you. We’ll meet at the Port Restaurant parking lot at the scheduled time, then begin our hike up Mont Caro—ready to reach the summit? Let’s go!
Once we’re all together, we’ll start our 8.5 km (5.3 mi) hike to the highest point in Tarragona, at 1,442 meters (4,731 feet) above sea level! Along the way, we’ll walk through pine forests to the Cuello de Pallers.
From here, we’ll continue along the ridge, taking in the stunning views of Mont Caro, with its steep terrain and sparse vegetation. You’ll also get a glimpse of the Ebro Valley, Montsianell, Mola Catí, Regatxol Ravine, and several nearby villages.
When we reach the top, we’ll see the Cinta sculpture and enjoy panoramic views of the Tarragona province. You’ll have officially conquered Caro Mountain! After a rest, we’ll begin our descent back to the starting point.
After four to five hours of hiking, we’ll wrap up the activity.
