Let yourself be enchanted by the traditional flavours of Cantabria with our Valles Pasiegos Food Tour from Torrelavega. You'll look out at breathtaking views while you fall in love with the delicious Cantabrian gastronomy.
Valles Pasiegos Food Tour
At 8:30 am, we will meet next to the Pabellón Municipal La Habana Vieja, in Torrelavega. From there, we'll board a minibus and head towards the lush Valles Pasiegos to taste the local gastronomy.
Our first stop is Santoña, a small coastal town popular for its anchovies. We'll visit the Emilia canning factory, which is the most famous of its kind in the whole area.
Afterwards, we'll go to Noja to visit the Vidular Winery and learn first-hand how their wines are made. We'll also have the chance to attend a wine and cheese tasting - delicious!
Once we've finished tasting the delightful wines and cheeses in Noja, we'll continue our tour through the Valles Pasiegos until we reach a local restaurant. At the restaurant, we'll have a typical Spanish menu del día (menu of the day) lunch. After lunch, we'll go to the Braguia Viewpoint, from which we'll see breathtaking views of the mountains and Vega de Pas.
The final stop on our food tour is Selaya, where we'll visit the Sobaos Joselín factory. This factory is the largest one in the region, and we're sure you'll love their famous sobaos (a small, flat cake with a buttery taste) and cheesecakes.
At the end of the trip, we'll take you back to our starting point where we should arrive at about 5:30 pm.
