Segway Tour of the Distillery District
Segway Tour of the Distillery District
Having met your guide at 11 Gristmill Lane, in the heart of the popular Toronto neighbourhood known as the Distillery District, you'll receive a brief lesson on how to safely ride a Segway. Pop on your helmet, and off you go!
How was alcohol distilled in this area of Toronto? Why did Canadian drinks become so famous? Why did the neighbourhood go into decline and what has caused its recent resurgence as a popular leisure centre in the city? The answers to all of these questions and more curious facts will be revealed to you by your knowledgeable guide as you ride around the historic area.
During your tour, you'll explore Distillery Lane, the district's most famous street. Learn fascinating anecdotes and discover the history of the former Gooderham & Worsts Distillery, once the largest distiller in Canada and instrumental in making the Canadian alcohol production industry so important.
Your tour will finish back at the original start point.
