Day Trip to Monte Fuji + Tour of Fugaku and Narusawa Caves
Tour Options
When booking your day trip to Mount Fuji from Tokyo with a visit to the Fugaku and Narusawa Caves, you can choose one of the following tour options. Both options take 10 hours and include transport, tickets, and an English-speaking guide.
Below, you can see the details for each tour:
Tour + Ninja Village & Fujiyama Onsen
After picking you up at the designated time at your chosen meeting point, we'll leave Tokyo behind and head west toward the captivating Mount Fuji.
After a 2-hour journey, we'll reach the vicinities of Japan's sacred mountain. Our first stop will be at the Fugaku Wind Cave, a cave at the feet of Mount Fuji that is located inside an old lava tube.
Inside this cave, declared a Natural Monument of Japan, we'll see how icicles are preserved due to the constant temperature of 37.4°F (3°C). Curious to learn how it's so cold inside a cava that once had burning lava? You'll find out!
We'll continue our tour visiting the inside of the Narusawa Ice Cave. This cave, formed by the eruption of Mount Fuji more than 1000 years ago, also has a constant temperature of 32 to 37.4°F (0-3°C). In fact, this cave was used to store food for the Japanese Royal Family when refrigerators did not exist in Japan!
Once we finish visiting this last cave, we'll head to the No Sato Ninja Village. In this recreation of a traditional Japanese village, you'll discover what rural life is like in Japan. Here, you'll also have an hour of free time to rest.
If the No Sato Ninja Village is closed on the day of the activity, we'll visit Oshino Hakkai instead, which is also a similar recreation of a Japanese village. Last but not least, we'll head to the feet of Mount Fuji to relax at Fujiyama Onsen, a hot spring center known for its saunas and hot baths.
We'll conclude this day trip at the pickup point you selected in Tokyo during the booking process.
Tour + Torii on the Sky, Oishi Park, & Fujiyama Onsen
If you choose this option, we'll begin our journey setting off to the Torii on the Sky. From this traditional Japanese door, you'll enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Kawaguchi and Mount Fuji.
Our next stop will be at Oishi Park, where you can continue enjoying the lovely scenic views of both the lake and the sacred mountain in Japan. You'll also have an hour of free time to grab a bite to eat in the area.
After lunch, we'll go on the same guided tour of the Fugaku and Narusawa Caves described in the previous option. After exploring the inside of these caverns, we'll head to Fujiyama Onsen, where you'll enjoy its hot baths.
We'll conclude this day trip by returning to Tokyo, where we'll drop you off at the location you specify.
