The Japan Rail East Pass allows you to use all JR East trains for 5 consecutive days. You'll have unlimited travel on all JR East train lines, whether in the Tohokuo area in Nagano and Niigata. In addition, the pass also allows travel on some non-JR trains in Izu and Nikkō.
Plus, you'll have access to Tokyo's monorail connecting Haneda Airport to Hamamatsucho Station.

Ticket Options
- Japan Rail East Pass - Tohoku: you'll have unlimited travel on JR East lines (including express buses), Izu Kyuko line, Aoimori Railway, Iwate Galaxy Railway (IGR), Tokyo Monorail and Sendai Airport Transit.
- Japan Rail East Pass - Nagano and Niigata: this pass includes unlimited travel on JR East Lines, Izu Kyuko Line, Hokuetsu Express, Echigo Tokimeki Railway: Arai-Naoetsu and Tokyo Monorail.
What Does the Japan Rail East Pass Include?
- JR EAST Lines, Tokyo Monorail, Izu Kyuko Line, Hokuetsu Express, Echigo TOKImeki Railway (between Naoetsu and Arai)
- Limited express trains running directly between JR East lines and Tobu Railway lines: Nikko, SPACIA Nikko, Kinugawa and SPACIA Kinugawa
- Local and express trains between Shimo-imaichi and Tobu-nikko/Kinugawa-onsen on the Tobu Railway lines. Between Kurihashi and Shimo-imaichi stations, the pass can only be used on limited express trains that connect directly with Tobu Railway lines
- JR buses (excluding road buses and some route buses) within the area
- This pass is not valid on the Tokaido Shinkansen bullet train.
Who Can Use the Japan Rail East Pass?
The JR Pass can be used by any foreign traveller entering Japan as a temporary visitor (less than 90 days).
