Visit the Warner Bros. Studio Tokyo

Opened in June 2023, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo - The Making of Harry Potter is the place to go in the Japanese capital for all fans of the films based on J.K. Rowling's literary saga.

With your ticket to the Harry Potter Studios, you'll be able to visit the different sets used in the films at your own pace. You'll also be able to discover the secrets behind each scene.

Throughout the tour of the studios you can also delve into the magical world of the young wizard with fun activities: ride a broomstick, get a Hogwarts portrait done, attend a quidditch match, have a butterbeer or enjoy afternoon tea with Professor Dolores Umbridge.

The main themed areas of the studios include sets, props, magical creatures, special effects and costumes, plus a Harry Potter-inspired café and shop.

Film Sets at the Studio

During your visit to the Warner Bros. Studio in Tokyo, you can see the following film sets used in the Harry Potter films:

The Great Hall of Hogwarts

Inspired by a 16th-century room in Christ Church at Oxford University, the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry's Great Dining Hall is where all the big events take place. From the Sorting Hat house allocation to the Yule Ball, everything happens in this room.

On your visit to the Great Dining Hall, you'll be able to see the figures of the snake, the badger, the lion and the eagle up close, all representing the four houses of Hogwarts. You'll also see the Point Counter for each house: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin.

Platform 9 ¾

To get to the most famous magical school in the world, you'll have to take the Hogwarts Express train from London's King's Cross station. At this terminal, you'll find Platform 9 ¾, which for security reasons is hidden from Muggles, non-magical people.

Diagon Alley

In this London alleyway, which is also hidden from Muggles behind the Leaky Cauldron, you'll find a myriad of shops selling wands, spell books, robes for Hogwarts students and other necessities for students of magic.

Forbidden Forest

This huge forest is off-limits to Hogwarts students, except on rare occasions, such as Hagrid's Care of Magical Creatures classes.

Ministry of Magic

In this exclusive film set in the Tokyo studios, you'll enter the London headquarters of the Ministry of Magic. However, the entrance to this secret building is not just anywhere, but through a series of places that are sure to surprise you!

Other Themed Areas

As well as the film sets mentioned above, during your visit you'll get to enjoy the following spaces:

  • Props: in this room, you'll find original objects used in the filming of the movies, such as wands and the Goblet of Fire.
  • Magical creatures: this area is dedicated to unique creatures such as Dobby the house elf and Buckbeak the hippogriff.
  • Special effects: you can have your photo taken on a broomstick or visit the Knight Bus, which transports wizards and is invisible to Muggles.
  • Costumes: In this room, you'll see Hogwarts robes and uniforms, as well as some of the costumes used during the Yule Ball that took place after the Triwizard Tournament.
