The tour exceeded my expectations. The guide, CARLOS SOTO, had a very good attitude the whole time. He gave us the complete tour and even included extras that complemented the trip. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Huamantla & Tlaxco Tour

Between 9 and 9:30 am, we'll pick you up at the meeting point of your choice and head by minibus to the first Magical Town we'll visit on this excursion: Huamantla awaits us!

Located at 2,400 meters (7874 feet) above sea level and with an important cattle-raising tradition, Huamantla surprises its visitors with its Art Nouveau architecture and its many churches and chapels. As well as strolling through the historic centre, we'll visit the puppet museum, which houses up to 500 puppet pieces, that are a key part of the culture of this town.

We'll return to the vehicle and head to Tlaxco, making a previous stop in the small town of José María Morelos Buenavista. Here, we'll visit the Barca de la Fe, a church that replicates the Santa Maria, the ship that accompanied Christopher Columbus on his voyage to the 'New World'.

Afterwards, we'll enter a 'pulque hacienda' or estate to discover how one of the country's most famous beverages is produced: pulque. This traditional alcoholic drink is made from the fermented sap of the maguey agave plant. You'll enjoy a have included and then take a seat at the hacienda's restaurant to enjoy a two-course lunch with dessert and beverages

The last stop of the day will be in the Magical Town of Tlaxco, which, along with Huamantla, is one of the highest towns in Mexico. We'll walk through the old town admiring its colonial architecture while we'll learn the history of the area. We'll also visit an artisan cheese factory as part of the guided tour, where we'll be able to learn even more about the culinary delights of the region.

We'll finish the tour by arriving back at the starting points between 4:30 pm and 5 pm.
