Let yourself be enchanted by the charms of Albania's capital on our Tirana Walking Tour. We'll discover this city's must-see sights with a guide who'll tell us all about its fascinating history.
Tirana Walking Tour
At the appointed time, we'll meet at the Clock Tower and board a vehicle to leave the center of Tirana behind for a while. Before touring the city, we'll take you to one of three places, depending on your preference. You can choose to visit Petrele and its castle, the fortress of Preza or the Dajti Mountain.
After an hour in one of these sites, we'll return to the old town of Tirana and start walking around the capital of Albania. First, we'll check out Skanderbeg Square and the imposing mosaic that covers the top of the facade of the National Museum. We'll learn all about this building before pausing in front of the Et'hem Bey Mosque, which was unable to open its doors during the Communist period.
Our walking tour of Tirana will then take us to buildings such as the National Museum of Fine Arts and the Dajti Hotel. The next part of our tour will lead us down the beautiful streets of the city centre as we cross the bridge over the Lana River and come to the striking Pyramid of Tirana.
Nearby you'll find the headquarters of the former Communist Party, the Congresses Palace and Mother Teresa Square, which is dedicated to the Albanian Catholic nun. We'll also see the Archaeological Museum and the Polytechnic University.
Then, after 4 hours, we'll return to the starting point bringing our tour to an end.
