When making your booking, you'll be able to choose between 2 options. Both include pickup and transfer from the hotel, transport by minibus and an English-speaking guide throughout the whole tour. Below, you can check out the details of both options:

Trip to Durrës + Visit to a Winery (7 hours)

We'll leave Tirana behind and make our way towards Durrës, the oldest city in Albania and one of the most important in the country. Located on the banks of the Adriatic Sea, this port town is home to a Roman history which can be seen everywhere.

Upon arriving, we'll take a guided tour that'll last 2 hours to discover its impressive sites, such as the amphitheatre, the hot springs, the aqueduct and the Venetian walls. In addition, we'll also make our way to the harbour to take in the fascinating views there of the Adriatic.

Afterwards, we'll leave the city behind and head into the vineyards. Did you know that Albania has one of the oldest wine-growing traditions in Europe? To discover this, we'll visit a traditional winery and learn about all the secrets of Albanian wine.

Next, we'll explore the winery's vineyards for around 30 minutes, discovering the different grape varieties grown and the secrets of the grape harvest. We'll then head inside the winery to learn how the different wines are produced.

To top off this experience, we'll take part in a tasting of 3 wines and raki, accompanied by traditional aperitifs. The cherry on top of an already amazing day!

Finally, we'll return to Tirana and bring this trip to an end after 6 hours together.

Trip to Durrës + Apollonia Ruins (9 hours)

After leaving the Albanian capital behind, we'll head to the ruins of Apollonia, which is considered the most important archaeological park in Albania, where we'll take a 2-hour tour to explore the remains of this ancient Greek city, one of the great cultural and heritage centre of its age. Did you know that Emperor Augustus trained here?

As we pass through Apollonia, we'll see some spectacular remains such as the Monument of the Agonotetas, the Triumphal Arch, the Odeon, the Great Portico and the Monastery of Santa Maria.

After this tour, we'll make our way to Durrës to take part in a 1-hour guided tour of its main monuments, such as the amphitheatre, the thermal baths, the aqueduct and the port. Afterwards, you'll have 2 hours of free time to grab a bite to eat and continue exploring the city.

Finally, we'll return to Tirana and bring this tour to an end after 9 hours together.
