Activity Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the New Bazaar and, once we're ready, we'll begin this bike tour of Tirana. Ready to cycle past the most iconic landmarks of the Albanian capital?

Taking advantage of our meeting point, we'll have an introduction to the history of Tirana by cycling through the streets of the city centre. From there, we'll move on to the Clock Tower, next to the Et'hem Bey Mosque. Inside the tower, which dates back to 1822, there is a staircase with 90 spiral steps leading to the top.

Afterwards, we'll ride past other important points in the heart of Tirana, such as the National History Museum, the National Bank and the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania. The last location was founded in 1953 and has a capacity for 800 people!

We'll continue cycling to the Checkpoint, where a section of the Berlin Wall and a former bunker are located. At this imposing place, we'll talk about the communist past of the city. We'll then ride to the second-largest square in Tirana, Mother Teresa Square.

Next, we'll take a break to rest in a special place in the Lake Park and, feeling refuelled, we'll climb up to the Tirana Pyramid to enjoy one of the best panoramic views of the city from the top.

We'll begin our return journey, but not without passing by other stand out locations such as Tirana Castle, the Albanian Orthodox Church or the House of Leaves Museum, which offers an interesting insight into the town's past.

Finally, we'll say our goodbyes at the departure point after between 2.5 and 3 hours in total.
