Berat Day Trip
Berat Day Trip
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Tirana at 8 am and head south towards Berat, the city of a thousand windows. After a 2 hour journey, we'll arrive at our destination.
The first stop on the tour will be Berat Castle, located at the top of a hill. Accompanied by the guide, we'll tour this imposing construction and talk about its history. Did you know that it was burned by the Romans in 200 BC?
Then we'll visit another one of Berat's jewels, the famous Onufri Museum, located inside the Cathedral of the Assumption of Saint Mary. The church, which dates from the 18th century, houses numerous works by the painter Onufri.
Afterwards, we'll continue discovering other holy buildings such as the Lead Mosque, the King's Mosque and the Bachelors' Mosque. Following on, we'll go to the Gorica bridge over the Osum river, one of the most special places in Berat.
The tour will end returning to Tirana, arriving at your hotel at 3 pm.
