Having picked you up from your accommodation in Tingo María, we'll set off on the 30-minute journey to the district of Hermilio Valdizán.
The Ugarteche River is located in this region of eastern Peru and is surrounded by the beautiful landscape of its basin, which has lush vegetation and freshwater springs.
When we arrive, we'll set out on a 1-hour walk through the jungle to explore the Ugarteche River basin. We'll take note of the different species of flora and fauna found here and learn about different tropical crops and the biodiversity found in this part of the Amazon rainforest.
As we walk, we'll come across beautiful waterfalls and natural pools, such as Neptune Falls. We'll stop at this breathtaking spot so you can rest and take a refreshing swim after our hike.
After relaxing in the heart of a spectacular natural area, we'll start making our way back to the jungle's edge, where the bus will be waiting for us. We'll return to Tingo María and drop you back at your hotel at 3 pm.
