After picking you up at your hotel in Tingo Maria, we'll head north towards the jungle of Aucayacu, an interesting trekking route awaits us!
To start the day with energy, we'll serve you a delicious breakfast consisting of juice, fruit, bread and eggs. With your batteries recharged, we'll have a brief introduction to the natural environment that surrounds us before setting off on the hiking route. Do you know why this trail is known as the Path for Peace?
We'll head into the Aucayacu jungle for 3 kilometres (1,8 miles), and you'll feel like a real explorer! During the walk, we'll teach you to distinguish the fauna of this ecosystem of the Central Peruvian jungle. What is so special about the biodiversity of this area of the Alto Huallaga? We'll find out!
We'll also stop to visit the Casa del Colono and a farm, where we'll learn how the local workers live in this unique natural setting. Have you worked up an appetite? Back at the refuge, we'll have a lunch of a main course with a drink.
The last stop on the hiking route will be at the fascinating Laguna de los Milagros. There you'll be able to walk along its shore observing its abundant and varied fauna and exotic plants such as huairuros.
After nine to ten hours, we'll finish the activity at your hotel in Tingo Maria.
