We'll pick you up at the indicated time at your hotel in Tingo María to begin this three-hour tour.
Do you know why this city is known as the gateway to the Peruvian Amazon? During this tour of Tingo María, we'll get to know the main attractions of this town surrounded by vegetation while we discover why it has earned this nickname.
We'll start the visit by passing by Plaza de Armas, the main square. Then, we'll head up to the San Cristóbal viewpoint which offers an amazing view of the hills surrounding the city. Do you know the story of Nunash, the Bolivian Sleeping Beauty? We'll tell you all about this story, which has origins in Tingo María, and reveal why one of the hills is named after her.
Next, we'll go to the commercial area to see some handicraft and natural medicine shops, where they make drinks such as cat's claw and camu camu, very rich in vitamin C.
The last stop of the itinerary will be at the Tingo María Zoo, where we can see local animals such as jaguars, pumas, peccaries and South American coatis, as well as several species of monkeys, birds and reptiles.
