Discover the natural wonders of Argentina on this excursion to the Salinas Grandes: hike up to the salt flats and get stunning views of the surroundings!
Description
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Tilcara at 9:45 am and set off by bus to Purmamarca, a picturesque town nestled in the shadow of the famous Hill of Seven Colours.
After a 30-minute drive, we'll reach Purmamarca, where we'll make a stop at a viewpoint to take in the magnificent views of the rainbow-coloured rock formations of the Hill of Seven Colours. This is one of the most photographed places in Argentina, thanks to its enchanting natural beauty.
We'll then begin our climb up the Lipán and Saladillo Hills to reach the Abra de Potrerillos viewpoint, located at 4,170 metres above sea level. From there, we'll be able to appreciate the Salinas Grandes in all their splendour: a vast white desert of salt flats stretching out as far as the eye can see.
Afterwards, we'll return to Purmamarca, where you'll have free time to get your own lunch, before beginning our return trip.
At the end of the tour, we'll make the return journey to Tilcara, where you'll be dropped back off at 3:30 pm.
